Something must be wrong, because I'm having the same problem and others have mentioned it as well (one person suggested that Tumblr may have been hacked, which would be exciting). I sent a report to Tumblr, and hopefully they can figure out what's going on, because yeah, this is bad.
Yeah, I've been seeing a stranger or two on my dash. I thought it was people changing their usernames names again, but no, I really don't recognize these people.
