Heh, it's all right. Last Exile is kinda a thing of its time for anime: bold original concept, some typical "teenage boy protagonist has acquired multiple female love(attraction?) interests" that thankfully isn't prominent but am annoyed are there. It doesn't shy away from deep concepts and it is an anime that openly acknowledges war to be caused by scarce resources and mishandling of those resources by a greater authority. Nowadays war as a theme in anime gets a little wishy-washy in thinking it's a clashing of ideologies.
Bravely Default 2 remains refreshing to me in terms of cast and story thus far. Square Enix doesn't seem to dwell too much on teenage protagonists in their newer games these days (aside from the upcoming Neo: The World Ends With You, of course), but I'm happy to see more flavors of "mature Young Adult" type protagonists in JRPGs.
