Disco is Dead...

zen_monkI'm pretty tired of those "Bad Romance" songfic. In every fandom.
I realize that it's been a trend a while back since Lady Gaga's album released that hit, but I really did think it was gone forever... until it reared its ugly head in my live feed on fanfiction.net. And I've read because I still remember that one out of a thousand "Bad Romance" fic that wasn't terrible and not so bad, but like how when the music industry thought that to be disco is to be have a catchy rhythm, the end product is tacky and so cheesy it turned.
What happened to the time when fic that portrays the "dark love that doesn't necessarily require angst" doesn't include lyrics with the damn nonsensical refrain? Or shout-outs.
I'm pretty sure this was ranted before, but seeing it again brought back that song that was stuck in my head. Even though this song is actually quite good.
