...Why am I getting random emails to go to site promising Gay Roughnecks...?
Is it as a result from reading yaoi?
Disclaimer: I read yaoi simply to understand what the genre's all about, it's not really pleasure reading. It's sometimes entertaining, though. But doing so sort of clarified what I had originally thought it to be.
Also, I watched Brokeback Mountain with my parents a couple nights ago. It's a good movie, but I watched it with the expectation of being moved almost to the point of tears (something that happens easily with me) and found myself not as emotionally intuned as I thought I would be. Maybe it's because of the ambiguity of the characters that kind of threw me off. Well, one is more to one side than the other, but I think Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal put a lot of depth to their characters that made the story engaging.
I think I would have preferred it if there were more intimate moments between them that doesn't have to do with suggestive "what-happened-the-night-befores".
Well, now waiting for "Milk" to come on dvd. I think I'm really liking Netflix now.
