Finally, I am in San Francisco. I say finally because I've always laid out that city as one of the places that the family needs to go on vacation. And so, I'm here with my family for the whole weekend!

The drive from SoCal was a little crazy, as my brother and I couldn't agree on what kind of music we should listen to in the car (he insists on the Final Fantasy XII soundtrack- which I've loathed because of so many level-grinding to those soundtracks- as well as other video game soundtracks, and I insist on Frank Sinatra/Musicals/Movie music).

When we got there, trying to find Chinatown was even crazy. I swear, if there's one thing I actually hated in San Francisco, it's that there are crazy hills which look great to look at when it's dusk and the headlights on cars do this cool effect, but driving up and down them gets very irksome. Eventually, dad admits he fails at driving in SF and suggest we all walk to the area. Yay! City sight-seeing! I can't believe how many huge shops are here compared to SB. As well as the many Wallgreens. We eventually dined (in Chinatown) in a place called the Cathay House where, apparently, Bill Clinton,  George Bush Sr., Nancy Pelosi, and the mayor of SF dined. I didn't think the food was any special, but hey, whatev, right? I was in Chinatown!

Today, we visited Berkeley on the BART and when we were on the UC campus, we made many jokes of how me and my little brother would do this and that when we enroll in the college. Sure amused our parents. There were a lot of street vendors in downtown Berkeley, mostly jewelry wares, but I find them to be sketchy. I was also assaulted by the Women in Black group and the Israeli group as they thrust their opposing pamphlets in my hands.

And p. s.: the San Francisco Public Library is probably one of the best libraries I've been so far.
