I guess it wasn't that bad afterall...
Apr. 10th, 2010 10:22 pmSo the past couple of journal entries showed my lackluster regards toward how I had spent my time and how I seem to not view the world in the best of light.
Those entries were done in the ungodly times of day, so I had a much different attitude much later on. But the overall week was actually pretty good. The feeling most likely came because I finished all the things that had a deadline and now I have the luxury to look forward to the next faraway deadline. Thankfully, I think my Spanish test had been a good one; I mean, I won't say that it's an 'A' paper, but I think that given the stressful circumstances regarding how I prepared for it, I think that I got at least a 'B.' I'm very sure that I didn't fail it and that the worst I can think of is in the high 70s in the grading scale.
I also finally came up with a topic for my Intro to Ethics paper, of which I had to choose three to write about and two of which regarded Stoicism, and so I did one about the film "Up in the Air" and titled it "'Up in the Air' and the Road to the Cosmos," and I talked about how the film was connected to Stoicism and one of its principles is to be a "cosmopolitan"- a citizen of the universe. It was basically a paper about why "Up in the Air" wasn't a tragedy in my perspective but that it was reflective of the Stoic thought.
Though in hindsight, I don't think I've ever really answered the question for the prompt. Yikes...
I also came to the conclusion by Thursday that I'm going to be a Philosophy major and maybe go into law school. Yay!
