April Showers....
Apr. 20th, 2010 01:30 pmI can remember (many) a time when there are no April showers to bring in May flowers. Now, it's like there's one every ten days or something.
So this morning, I have a 9:35 class and to my displeasure, which usually arises whenever I see raindrops splattering all over the pavement when I wake up and look out my bedroom window, there are no coverings whatsoever to shield me from the onslaught of heaven's tears for our unforgiving, academic world. So I walked in the rain from the bus stop to my class when, upon opening the door, my sleep-deprived eyes noticed the hot pink sign with bold letters saying "Personal Development Class CANCELLED 4/20."
(...I walked in the rain for you, Mr. Teacher..., wept my internal voice beneath the cloud of tired disbelief and stoicism.)
It's times like these that I became self-aware of how unsociable and unpleasant I can be when going about town in the morning, but I guess that's something normal people experience anyway. Unless you're that one, lucky person who gets 10 hours of sleep, three square healthy meals, and have a stand-up kind of character.
So on a good note, April showers does deter May Fires, for Californians, and I get more time in the computer lab doing things like this. Also, I'm greatly enjoying Final Fantasy Tactics on my PSP, even though I should complete some other stuff like that re-do of Final Fantasy VII (also on my memory drive of my PSP), Final Fantasy XIII on my PS3, and homework.
However, to end this on a depressing note, I just remembered that I should go to my job right after school, which means long bus ride to a shopping center that few bus lines ever cared to grace, making the ride long, stuttering and smell of irresponsible persons. I'm just praying for a slow night so that I can go home early and attempt at writing fanfiction only to realize that it's more mind-numbingly fun to tune out on the tube.
