Or it could be that I took advantage of a deal on Cyber Monday, and got me Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on pc download for ten bucks and a free month of subscription.

I am available on these Adamantoise and Balmung server things, as a lancer and a pugilist and an archanist. 8D

This is my first ever MMO that I've ever played in my entire gaming life.

It also made me realize that all video games are nowadays, at least for rpgs, are a bunch of sidequests that do the same thing over and over again. And sometimes the game lets you know ahead of time there's a level cap for a specific quest/main quest.

These open-world thingies are heinous. Where's my linear structure? Where is the true path? DA2 is like a really small MMO! So is Ass Creed and Sleeping Dogs and so on!

I also can't stop doing these quests. I must fulfill everything but everything is unquenchable and has no bottom.

Agreed on how RPGs are now structured on 10,000 sidequests. Let's create a new RPG called FetchQuest.

At least for me, DA2 didn't suffer from the bogged down feeling I get in these games because everything felt more contained and story scenes and dialogue triggered very often.
