 Went trolling through my ill-used ff.net account to look through old faves- you know, fresh eyes and fresh re-reads.

and the wave of nostalgia hits me and just reading through some of the summaries brings back old feelings and remembering old passages. And also realizing "omg, I read some simple stories in the name of my otp." And also marveling at how some people can really write some well-crafted cliche drama that I ate up in middle school and high school, and that itself is a talent.

man all the people that have moved on from the site...

Man, I have so much up on that site too, I've moved on to my drakonlily but that one, oh that's the one that started it all. Remember the great Lemon Debacle? Where people had to move the porn to another site?

jsyk, teen-me was trawling through yours and most likely your wife's FF accounts and thinking to self: "there's a comprehensive canon that's existing right now between these people, but i don't know the reference unless i google everything!"

The lingering haunting feeling of reading magnificent one-shots of folks who eventually tried to move elsewhere but then faded away from social media.... ;;

I greatly remember that Lemon Debacle, but then it didn't affect me as much because i subscribed to folks who mostly haven't tried such. But I remember the exodus back to LJ for it :P

And then the Russians came.

Drakonlily and Cendrillo, that'd be us. I ran with a pretty well known group, Reno Speigel and Chocobogoddess among them. I'm still debating reworking I Tried or some of my other Final Fantasy stuff. I'm not as prolific as I used to be cause amazingly enough, adulthood holds less free time in the middle of the day than college. I'm also trying to finish that damn Hannibal fic.

And then the Russians came...

I wanna say that I might've read everything you've all put out, but I also gotta say that the internet sleuthing was also half the fun since it's a good amount of canon put out ;D.

Yeah, that thing on adulthood ;; even in college, I'm having enough trouble scrounging free time that isn't devoted to class work and naps and gaming in between on anything creative. I wish I don't wanna say that the creative juices are receding or that my interests are lost in what I used to devote a lot of time (a lot of a lot) in crafting some fics that never get their epics written, but alas. However, meta always seems to sustain me, somehow.

So like, when I referred to the Russians, it's the LJ acquisition, and then when i saw your icon, it's like "oh yes, Cherno Alpha." At least, in my mind.

I'm totally flattered. I was pretty prolific so yeah. XD

I'm trying to find a place to write and ... it's working for the most part. I'm getting a lot more of my OWN work done than I did when I was just writing fanfic. And I'm playing more games (dragon age, I'm playing a LOT of dragon age)

But you know, I am writing a lot more than I did as far as original stuff goes and I'm REALLY excited to run my first game soon.

The fact of the matter is that I've personally met those Russians and they are the coolest people ever.
