Sep. 29th, 2013 01:47 amFeeling kinda blue lately, and probably having regular socializing with drinks would contribute to it since being around people can be draining, and also alcohol is a depressant which I just remembered from Alcohol Edu.
I got lost on Friday on my campus because I messed up the classroom location, mistaking my 11 AM class to be where my 2 PM class was.... but at least I got my syllabus by arriving there right when it was over!
UCSC is strangely... inaccessible in a lot of ways, and i can't help but compare it to super flat UCSB with lotsa directories. Also there's a forest, and there aren't many maps in a forest, and then pathways you think go one direction go completely in another. I should put up Slenderman posters around Finals weeks as an act of vindictive reveeeeenge.
There might be some upcoming dorm dispute, because me and my roommates are suspecting that the room we're in was unfairly placed, with the furniture being sloppily put together and not even in a manner that makes sense, with all the outlets and ethernet ports hidden behind some closet or desk. Also, it's hot as balls here, and it's cramped for a three person. It doesn't help that other rooms on our floor is much roomier and apparently we have the only one that's the shit room. Luck of hte draw, I guess, but if this room was made to be a double only and they just put in a triple, then I'm sorry but thats completely wrong. As well as apparently the names for our room was switched with another room???
Nefarious.
And generally, sometimes interacting with friends online and discussing various meta gets draining and, depending my mood, a little bit anxious because I worry about not being articulate enough or that something might escalate into a debate that I might not be equipped to handle. It's different when address them in real life, which I do with my dormmates who are fans of things that I'm fans of, but sometimes online it's so easy to get misread or for someone to feel pressed about something that they just have to provide the justification for something.
weh.

But this place is also densely wooded, there's always someplace nice and quiet u//w//u
yeah, this dorm is pretty swanky in regards to facilities and stuff. I pretty much got used to it, but the prospect of getting something better is appealing.
I just hope it's not homesickness sinking in, though. Or the fact that I spent a lot of money for myself when it's not even school starting, ehehe heh.
Hahhhh

Date: 2013-09-29 08:57 pm (UTC)It could be homesickness. However, it could be that you feel guilty for spending money. HOWEVER, I know when I splurge, it's because I've been restricting myself. Remember to do one awesome thing for yourself a week at least. Cause you're a fuckin' bad ass and you earned it.
